This dry rub is inspired by the traditions and flavors of Memphis BBQ. This rub starts with the foundation of a Memphis rub using the flavors of brown sugar, paprika, and garlic. Other spices are added in to give this rub a savory and earthy flavor profile and then a little heat is added in. This rub is predominantly made for pork products, but it adds a great flavor to chicken and beef. It can be used by itself to serve “dry” meat or combined with a sauce to provide “wet” meat.
