This is your first step to pro level controlled cooking. Apply our Step One Texas Style Base Coat and allow to permeate deep into the meat to create a natural exterior “sweat” binder. Wait at least 10 minutes for the magic to happen, then apply one of our Step Two Rubs and wait at least 10 more minutes before cooking. By separating the two different layers and steps, you’ve locked in flavor internally, while still being able to apply as much Step Two Rub as desired - all without over salting. Need a little more salt and spice next time? Add more Texas Style Base Coat. Cook like a pro, cause you’re in control! (Texas Style works as a heck of an all-purpose seasoning on its own and is great on veggies!)
